Husson Student Health Insurance

All students are required to have health insurance.  If you already have health insurance you do not have to carry Husson's policy (please see more information provided below).  If you are using the Husson Health Insurance, please read below.

Student Health Insurance Plan 2016-2017 (Information taken from the Cross Insurance website.)

POLICY#: 2016I5B41

For many years now our university has made available to its students a student health insurance plan. We are pleased to announce that coverage will again be available for the current school year.

We strongly encourage you to consider this program as a supplement to Student Health Services. The University requires all students to have some form of health insurance coverage.

All full time Graduate students enrolled in 6 or more credit hours and all Undergraduate students enrolled in 9 or more credit hours are eligible and are automatically enrolled in the Husson University Student Health Insurance Plan, unless a waiver providing proof of other qualifying insurance is received by September 13, 2016. The Student Health Insurance Program is not available to Extended Learning students, non-Bangor campuses or students enrolled in online courses.

Payment of $1943 automatically provides coverage for a full year beginning August 1, 2016. This charge will be included as part of the University charges unless such coverage is waived by the student prior to September 13, 2016. For new second semester students, the charge is $1131 payable by January 13, 2017. If you have insurance coverage and wish to waive the Husson University Student Health Insurance Plan, go to https://estudent.husson.edu/login.asp.

Those students who do not waive the insurance plan by the deadline, (September 13, 2016 for the annual plan or by January 13, 2017 for new second semester students), will be automatically enrolled in and charged for the Husson University Student Insurance Plan. Once enrolled, a student may not cancel the insurance and no refund is available. Coverage continues until the policy expires.
