Gresham School Board Meeting

March 6, 2023 Meeting Minutes

Present:  Joe Ejnik, Pat Pleshek, Jim Hoffman, Lanell Thorne, Diana Jensen, Ethan Schmidt and Jerrit Lyons.   Superintendent - Newell Haffner, Principal - Jessie Hanssen, Operations - Jim Dudek and Administrative Assistant - Cathy Opperman.  

Meeting Called to Order: The meeting was opened at 6:05pm by President Joe Ejnik.

Pledge of Allegiance:  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present. 

Approve the Agenda:  Motion to approve the agenda was made by Pat, second by Jim, voice vote was 7-0 in favor, motion carried.  

Public Comments:  None

Fab Lab Update by Tim Bosman:  Tim Bosman reviewed projects/grants/activities taking place in Fab Lab.

Consent Agenda

Previous Meeting Minutes:  Motion to approve the February 20th meeting minutes was made by Lanell, second by Diana, voice vote was 7-0 in favor, motion carried.

Administrative Report by Newell Haffner:  Newell reported on Camp Uni-Li-Ya trip, Kids Heart Challenge, Winter Walk to School activities, ACP/CTE trainings, college tours to NWTC and UWGB, and Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association All-Academic Individual Awards that students received.

Operations Report

Contracted Services Report:  An update was given on our cleaning services.

Elementary AC Update:  No update.

On-line Board Meeting Access:  Motion to discontinue on-line access to board meetings was made by Pat, second by Lanell, voice vote was 7-0 in favor, motion carried. 

Future Agenda Items:  Policy Committee meeting, April 24th.

Next Board Meeting Date:  March 20, 2023 at 6pm.

Adjourn:  Motion to adjourn was made by Ethan, second by Jerrit, voice vote was 7-0 in favor,  motion carried.
