Gresham School Board Meeting

March 7, 2022 Minutes

Present: Alphia Creapeau, Doug Huck, Marge Eberhard, Joe Ejnik, Jim Hoffman, Pat Pleshek, Superintendent - Newell Haffner, Principal - Ben Heninger, and Administrative Assistant - Cathy Opperman.

Absent - James Mathews.

Meeting Called to Order: The meeting was opened at 6:05 pm by President Alphia Creapeau.

Pledge of Allegiance: The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

Approve the Agenda: Motion to amend the agenda (delete 6a - “Previous Meeting Minutes”) and approve was made by Marge Eberhard, second by Pat Pleshek, roll call vote was 6 in favor, 1 absent, motion carried.

Public Comments: None

DPI/CDC Masking Update: Newell reviewed the updates given by the DPI and CDC. No changes were made to our existing policies or procedures.

Consent Agenda

February Voucher Report: Motion to approve the February voucher report was made by Doug Huck, second by Marge Eberhard, roll call vote was 6 in favor, 1 absent, motion carried.

Administrative Report by Newell Haffner: Newell reported on the following: Job vacancies, testing, technology, Elementary Spring Concert (May 23rd @ 5:30pm) JH/HS Spring Concert (May 25th @ 6:30pm)

band and choir competing May 6 & 7 at Music in the Parks at Six Flags Great America, Solo Ensemble, graduation (June 3rd @ 7pm) and JH/HS education update.

Alternative Open Enrollment Applications: None

Shannon Holsey - $5,000 Donation: A donation of $5,000 was given by Shannon Holsey to promote and establish “Bree’s Closet”.

Next Board Meeting Date: March 21, 2022 at 6:00 pm.
