October 5, 2015 Minutes
Present: Margaret Eberhard, Andy Schmidt, Bill Arendt, Grace Schwefel, Holly Schmidt, Jeff Brady and Jeff Hoffman. Also present: Principal – Keary Mattson, Director of Finance and Operations – Holly Burr, Assistant Principal – Newell Haffner and Administrative Assistant – Cathy Opperman.
Meeting Called to Order: Meeting was opened at 7:03pm by President Andy Schmidt.
Pledge of the Allegiance: The Pledge of the Allegiance was recited by all present.
Approve or Amend the Agenda: Motion to approve the agenda was made by Holly Schmidt, second by Marge Eberhard, voice vote was 7-0 in favor, motion carried.
Approve the Minutes of the Previous Meetings: Motion to approve the previous meeting minutes as presented was made by Jeff Brady, second by Holly Schmidt, voice vote was 7-0 in favor, motion carried.
Public Comments: None
Administration Report by Keary Mattson: Articles were shared. Keary also touched on the following items: Enrollment, WildC.A.T.S. (Community and Teachers Shine) This group would be replacing POPS, possible trainer services, Erving update (Clintonville withdrew), and CESA 8 annual training.
Finance and Operations Report by Holly Burr: Holly touched on the following items:
Midwest Facility conference, roofing/window project update and 2015-2016 budget.
Approval of 2015-2016 Budget for Publication: The budget was distributed. The total school levy for 2015-2016 is $1,355,325.00. This increases the mill rate by .22 bringing the new mill rate for 2015-2016 to 10.67. Motion to approve the 2015-2016 budget for publication as presented was made by Grace Schwefel, second by Jeff Brady, voice vote was 7-0 in favor, motion carried.
Annual Meeting: October 19, 2015 – 7pm in the Media Center.
Consent Agenda:
Payables: $88,920.29
Motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Jeff Brady, second by Holly Schmidt, voice vote was 7-0 in favor, motion carried.
District Goals for 2015-2016: Motion to approve district goals presented for 2015-2016 was made by Jeff Brady, second by Marge Eberhard, voice vote was 7-0 in favor, motion carried.

Performance Services Inc. Contract: Motion to table this item was made by Marge Eberhard, second by Holly Schmidt, voice vote was 7-0 in favor, motion carried.
Future Construction and Remodeling:
Update from Advisory Committee-Jeff Hoffman: Update given. Motion to request bids for RFP’s for an owner’s rep to oversee entire project was made by Jeff Brady, second by Marge Eberhard, voice vote was 7-0 in favor, motion carried.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Advisory Committee: Andy formulated a list of duties and responsibilities for the Advisory committee. Motion to approve duties and responsibilities of the Advisory committee was made by Jeff Brady, second by Bill Arendt, voice vote was 7-0 in favor, motion carried.

Motion to Move into Closed Session: Motion to move into closed session was made by Marge Eberhard, second by Holly Schmidt, voice vote was 7-0 in favor, motion carried.
Motion to Return to Open Session: Motion to return to open session was made by Marge Eberhard, second by Holly Schmidt, voice vote was 7-0 in favor, motion carried.
Action Taken as a Result of Closed Session: Motion to pay the education expense request, as per the professionals improvement policy for the teachers was made by Marge Eberhard, second by Bill Arendt, 5 in favor, 1 opposed and 1 abstained, motion carried.
Motion to Adjourn: Motion to adjourn was made by Marge Eberhard, second by Jeff Brady, voice vote was 7-0 in favor, motion carried.
