Mid unit formative assessment can be done easily by just asking student to share their work in progress as a comment to a post. In the example below, I've show you can even do this with a range of submissions (as long as they web friendly)*, but the best format for this is image, which can be automatically viewed automatically, no loading needed.

Once the work has been shared, use the opportunity to invite the students to provide peer to peer feedback moderated by the teacher, in face all 5 elements of formative assessment:

1. Clarifying learning intentions (in the initial teacher post)
2. Eliciting evidence (including of prior learning)
3. Feedback that moves learning forward
4. Students as learning resources for one another
5. Students as owners of their own learning

*Web Friendly means formats lie:

Image, video, PDF, and web/cloud based format, eg Google Docs, Prezi, Piktochart etc.
