Timers

Very handy to use in the classroom, and oh so many ways do it, here are a few ways:

Youtube has a load of them, just search for a timer, eg 1 minute countdown, like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6ggW8ei0yU

Google has one built in! Just type something like: set timer 1 minute

There are timer apps in Chrome, like this one: http://www.timer-tab.com/

Websites just dedicated to timing things, like: http://www.online-stopwatch.com/

Finally Triptico has a load of funky timers you can use, you can install the free version yourself, or ask IT Support to help you install the PLUS version, we have a Triptico Plus account for all teachers.

Triptico is a collection of very useful apps for teachers that includes timers, word games, quizzes and selectors. The Plus option allows you to save data to use again later. All the tools run in a web browser, so there is no need to install any programmes, but installation means it's just a click away...

Your initial username is: dover<staff code>, e.g: doversmc

You initial password is: trip<staff code>, e.g: tripsmc

Both of these can be changed after you have logged in, through the "Members Home" option.

Once you have logged in, click the "Resources" link in the blue box on the top right hand corner to access the various apps.
