iPad Keyboard Shortcuts

It can be quite frustrating having to type in your email over and over again, even more so for students who struggle to remember exactly what it should look like; well here's a tip that can help...

Text Replacement

In Settings > General > Keyboard you will find a really useful feature called Text Replacement—with this you can make up your own shortcuts, and match them up with longer texts you want to replace them with. Simple.

So instead of typing out that really loooong email address; every. single. time. Now you just type something like @@ and voila, it gets immediately replaced with the text you set. It's also really useful if there are certain typos you are always making, now you have a way to cheat 😉

It's important that the shortcut you pick is not a string of letters you would ever use, otherwise it could get pretty annoying!
