iPhone HEIC to JPEG
Once of the annoying things about getting a nice new shiny iPhone is that Apple switch the default format for photos to High Efficiency Image Format (HEIC) without asking you... It might be more efficient but it's also a lot less compatible with anything not Apple....
First things first, change your phone settings to default to JPEG
Settings > Camera > Formats > Most Compatible.
Settings > Camera

Most Compatible
If you just have a few images to convert to JPEG, you can just open them all in Preview > Export > JPEG
If you have lots to convert if you upload to Google Photos they are all automatically converted anyway; and easier to use/share.
Or you can try one of the online converters.
The high tech option is to use an Automator script, but be warned this can be a little frustrating to get to work the way you want them to!
