Do Now: Go Around
What is a question you need to answer about your project?
Research Phase Tip:
Your research phase should be about more than just accumulating sources that are vaguely related to your topic.
Instead, focus on “guided inquiry.” You have questions about your topic that you need to have answered in order to make your creation.
If Mike wants to do a project about mixtapes, he won’t do a Google search for “mixtapes” and cite random articles that turn up.
Instead, he starts with the question “Why is outsider art relevant?” to draw parallels between mixtape collage art and outsider artists like Grandma Moses.
