What is something you want (want to have | want to do | want to be), and what is preventing you from having/doing/being it?
VOCABULARY: Character Motivation
Every character needs motivation to be interesting. Characters are motivated by goals. Just like there are things you want, there must be things that your characters want.
To create drama, there is always an "obstacle" as well, which prevents the character from accomplishing their goal (at least in the beginning).

STUDIO TIME:
Go back to your "subtext script." There is a new box in the table at the top. Identify your character's motivation, and their obstacle.
Add at least 10 lines of dialogue to your subtext script to indicate the character's motivation and how they are trying to achieve their goal.
