TODAY'S GOALS: Practice displays of emotion in performance.
(CST1: I can develop and maintain a character for performance.)
DO NOW: Vocal/Physical Warm Up
SIMPLE MACHINES:
1. Get an "emotion card" from Molly. Keep it a secret.
2. Create a statue showing that emotion.
3. Add a small, repetitive motion to your statue (this is a simple machine).
4. In small groups, we will get the statues to interact with each other.
5. Add dialogue?
DESIGNERS:
1. Same.
2. Same.
3. Color / Shape / Line - take notes on how to represent that emotion visually.
4. Create a visual image (poster, scenery, etc) that represents that emotion with your CSL (no words).
TURN & TALK:
What is fun or challenging about simple machines?
PRODUCE: 4.48 Psychosis (remember that?!)
Choose emotions to connect to each line of dialogue.
