DO NOW: Slogans
Take the first five minutes of class to meet with your small groups and determine a potential slogan for your PSA. After five minutes, share out in a very dramatic voice.
STUDIO TIME:
Each group may have a different workflow, but generally you should…
Determine group roles (acting, writing, directing, editing, etc.)
Write a script.
Cast the script.
Find or create backdrop images that can be green screened in.
Filming. Reminder: our system is:
There is a green screen set up in Room 3401.
Students use Google Meet to project the script like a teleprompter. Actors position their Chromebooks to see the script. A second group member will then screen-share the script and scroll through for the actors.
Two iPad kits are available in Room 3401, including a wireless microphone. One iPad should be in use, and the other one should be charging.
If only one student is in the room to record, they can take their mask off.
After recording, log into Google Drive on the iPad and upload your footage.
One group recording at a time. Be mindful of other groups needing to record though (don’t spend the whole class period recording).
Editing. Once you have footage recorded, you can import it into WeVideo to edit.
TICKET OUT:
At 10:25, each group needs to share out what steps they still need to take in order to complete their videos. The goal is to view these on Monday.
