As per school committee policy: BGE Policy Dissemination, the Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School District Policy Manual is available for public inspection.

This policy manual is copyrighted to the Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School District (AWRSD) and may contain material copyrighted to the Massachusetts Association of School Committees (MASC) (used with permission and acknowledged in the Source citation) Note: many of the MASC sample policies cited in this manual have had alterations made to the original text, including deletion, revision and addition. It is intended for the sole and exclusive use of AWRSD. No portion of this manual is allowed to be reproduced, copied, transmitted, distributed, or sold, in any form, other than for the sole purpose of the official business and operations of the Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School District. Permission to use text from this manual is hereby granted for School Districts belonging to the Massachusetts Association of School Committees.

However, the AWRSD School Committee will continue to make changes based on the District's needs, laws as they are passed by the Massachusetts Legislature or U.S. Congress, regulations as they are approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and new rulings as they are rendered by the courts.

The copy maintained in the Superintendent’s Office, 11 Oakmont Drive, Ashburnham, MA, 01430, is considered to be the official version. It, along with the online version, contains the most up-to-date information available.

Unless otherwise noted any reference to “the District” or “the School System” shall mean the Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School District, any reference to “the School Board,” “the School Committee” or “the Committee” shall mean the Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School Committee and any reference to “the Department of Education”, “Board of Education”, “DOE” or “DESE” shall mean the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

In no case may any policy contain language that contradicts any statute or DESE regulation. Should such a situation arise, through ignorance, revision to statute/regulation or otherwise, such language as may be in conflict shall be deemed null and void.

Copies of the AWRSD Policy Manual distributed to any individual or organization remain the property of the Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School Committee.
