REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT AUDITS

An audit of all District departments’ accounts shall be conducted annually.

Upon the completion of each audit, a report thereon shall be made to the Chairperson of the School Committee, and a copy sent to the Chairperson of the Selectmen in the member municipalities.

Annual audits will be performed in accordance with statues and regulations. The School District’s books will be closed and ready for audit by July 15th of the ensuing year. The audit will be completed by November 30th. The auditors will present the audit report and management letter to the School Committee and Superintendent of Schools no later than December 31st.

The Committee will consider recommendations made by the auditor for maintaining an efficient system for recording and safeguarding the school department's assets.
