CODE OF CONDUCT

All staff members will be expected to carry out their assigned responsibilities with conscientious concern and exemplary professional conduct fulfilling responsibilities with honesty and integrity.

Essential to the success of ongoing school operations and the instructional program are the following ethical code and specific responsibilities, which will be required of all personnel:

  1. Support and enforcement of policies of the school district and implementation of regulations and school rules in regard to students. This shall include support of the principle of due process and protection of the civil and human rights of all individuals, regardless of race, gender identity, color, national origin, sex, disability, religion or sexual orientation

  2. .

  3. Concern for and attention to their own and the school system's legal responsibility for the safety and welfare of students, including the need to ensure that students are under supervision at all times and making the wellbeing of students the fundamental value of all decision-making and actions.

  4. Familiarity with the code of ethics that applies to their profession and to adhere to it in their relationships with students, parents, coworkers, and officials of the school system.

  5. Maintaining the standards and seeking to improve the effectiveness of the profession through research and continuing professional development.

  6. Diligence in submitting required reports promptly at the times specified.

  7. Faithfulness and promptness in attendance at work.

  8. Care and protection of school property.
