PARTICIPATION IN ATHLETICS, MARCHING BAND, CLUBS AND ALL OTHER CO-CURRICULAR PROGRAMMING

Only students who live in the communities of Ashburnham or Westminster and attend AWRSD district schools; homeschooled; dual enrolled; collaborative programs; students school choiced into the district; or, any other program whereby students receive a diploma/certificate from AWRSD, will be eligible to participate in district sponsored athletics, marching band, clubs and all other co‐curricular programming. Students that are not enrolled in the above mentioned categories will not be allowed to participate in AWRSD school sponsored programs. MIAA may also allow alternative public high school institutions (i.e. WPI Math/Science Academy) to participate in the athletic program where the student resides, see MIAA rule 52.

At the secondary level the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) may allow for cooperative agreements between and among public school districts.
