I missed the volt meter which was fitted in the dozens of older models of Robins & Rialtos I have owned so I have fitted the device pictured below which shows the Battery Condition and if the Alternator is charging .

I got it for a few pounds from Lidl .

I have wired it in to the battery earth and to a spare terminal on the ignition circuit on the fusebox via an inline fuse holder so that it goes off with the ignition.

It is held in place by sticky velcro pads . It also adds a wee bit colour inside the car at night

There are smaller , neater 12v LED Battery Monitors , voltage and charge indicator types now on the market as per ;
