WARNING ;

BE AWARE that nearly all the aftermarket ALUMINIUM RADIATORS for sale at many places are fitted with a SMALL JAPANESE RADIATOR CAP rated at 1.1 BAR .

1.1 BAR is around 16 PSI and I would not be happy with that pressure .

The Robin and Rialto range used either a 7 psi or a 13 psi cap on the later models .

Thanks to Manky Monkey Motors Forum member “ Twisted “ { Craig Lynch } who has sourced an alternative 0.9 BAR / 13psi small Japanese Radiator Cap .

The cap is made to fit a Mazda MX5 1.6 & 1.8 1990 Onwards.

The cap is polished stainless steel and was bought on e-bay from bbclassiccars

I have gained info from World of Reliant forum member " PostmanPrat " about a cheaper standard steel Japanese type Radiator cap sourced from Mister Auto on e-bay .

Cap Pressure ; 0.9 BAR / 13 PSI .

If I was going to fit an Alloy Radiator on the later Post 1990 Robins / Rialtos with the extra plastic bottles linked to the Top of the Radiator outlet spout , I would prefer to change the pressure cap on the alloy radiator for a blank cap and fit a standard size 7lbs or 13 lbs radiator cap to the bottle .

A Japanese size BLANK RADIATOR CAP is available on e-bay from
