ROLL PIN INFO FOR THE CLUTCH OPERATING ARM
It is common knowledge that the roll pins can shear in the arm .
It has been suggested that split pins be inserted inside the roll pin to hopefully assist in stopping the roll pin from shearing .
This has been put into practice by a few folk and appears to work well enough .
While looking for something else I chanced upon the website
and found the recommendation as follows ;
It is possible to increase the shear strength of slotted pins by inserting a small diameter inside a large one.
This should always be done by inserting the larger pin first, then inserting the smaller one, taking care that the slot is between 90 degrees and 180 degrees away from the slot in the larger pin.
After receiving the info from wheaters that the Reliant supplied roll pins are
Diameter ; 5/32 inch
Length ; 1 inch
I now know the other size of roll pin to buy
Diameter ; 3/32 inch
Length ; 1 inch .
Following list gives the other sizes , if required , for other jobs / vehicles ;

GEARBOX ; STUCK IN GEAR ; POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Remove the gearlever rubber and see if the " C " clip in the domed bit is in at both sides on the domed bit .
If yes then First just try lifting the gearlever straight up and move a little forward or back and then let go and see if it has engaged in a gear .
