In PE last term our sport was handball. In handball we learnt the basics of how the game works, how to throw the ball, and how to shoot various shots with the ball - such as a jump shot/regular shot.
Handball is a fast-paced team sport played indoors on a rectangular court. The objective is to score goals by throwing a small ball into the opposing team’s net. Each team has seven players, including a goalkeeper. Players pass and dribble the ball using their hands, aiming to go past the defenders and create scoring opportunities.
In lessons, we had warmups and practiced our accuracy with the ball by doing target practice which we did by throwing the ball at a cone. We did this competitively between each other.
I think my favourite part of handball last term was when we played matches in teams at the end of the term. I enjoyed P.E. last term since we learnt how to play a new sport, and I enjoyed the time we spent doing this.
