In this learning module, Andres and Craig decided to learn about Arduino and the basics of it. They first started practicing with the Arduino, connecting wires to the breadboard so that they could get a led light to turn on. Near the end of the learning module, they created a sensor that acts like a back-up camera with two different colored led lights to indicted if an object is too close to the other object. Andres and Craig gained lots of knowledge from this and they could use this knowledge on other projects.
In the second learning module, Andres and Robert began learning how to solder. They tried out soldering with the practices that the soldering practice kit provided and soldered motion sensor, motors, led lights, and resistors to the circuit board. At the end, they finished off with a speaker that beeps, which turns on and off the led lights. The learning module helped them learned how to solder.
In this learning module, Jason and Andres worked together to build a PC so that they could make a server in Ubuntu. The server would store in music, docs, etc. They started off building the PC with the components that Jason brought in and started to download Ubuntu in the PC. They had some trouble due to the wifi not letting them finish the download for the server, but they solved the problem and they were able to finish up in time. With the finished product, they were able to save mp3 and mp4 on the server.
Learning Module #4: 3D Printing Hot Wheels
In this learning module, Andres and Miguel began to work together on learning how to 3D print object. They decided to make a hot wheels car on TinkerCad which was easier to use. They had some trouble throughout the learning module like with redesigning and downloading the gcode, but they have created a little car at the end of it. Some of the parts of the car were missing, but they gained some knowledge of what they learned with 3D printing.
Learning Module #5 FPS Game on Unreal Engine
In this learning module, Andres and Ethan teamed up to create a FPS game on Unreal Engine which they wanted to implement multiplayer as well. It did not go as they planned, but they learn new things about Unreal Engine like with the block coding in it, the animations used for the character, and how to add basic necessities. Overall they gained knowledge of how to use Unreal Engine and how to begin a project with it.
Learning Module #6 Discord ChatBot Using ChatGPT
Learning Module #7 Eye Tracker Communication App
In this learning module Andres, Rio, and Lenny worked together to make a communication app that uses the tobii eye tracker to act as a mouse so people who are unable to communicate verbally can use the app to ask specific tasks like needing food or having to use the bathroom. The eye tracking part of the app did not function as what they expected, but they succeed on create an app, by using sound queues in the app. At the end, everyone learned a bit with unity and also the code language, C#.
