Learning Module #3
Learning How to 3D Print
For this learning module Connor D and Nate A learned how to 3D print, by experimenting, watching tutorials, and a lot of google searching. This was probably an all around favorite module. We printed a Dinosaur with a hard hat and an elephant. This module felt the most rewarding, because we were able to keep a physical object of what we had accomplished.
This is a picture of one of many failed attempts of trying to print the dinosaur.
Learning Module #4
Converting Old Operating Systems to New
This was the first 10 day learning module, and Connor D, Dhruv D, and Nate A all worked together to take old computers with poorly working operating systems and put either Chrome OS or Linux on them. That was step one, step two was figuring out where to donate them and how to do it. We are collecting computers from around the school from staff and students and upgrading those as well. The goal is to donate these newly working computers to low income family's or organizations in need. We are going to donate them to Family Promise in Oxford, Nj and Habitat for Humanity in Washington, Nj.
Dom B and his partner Haru were trying to use Minecraft without the firewalls, so they used Sarah Detrick's computer that we put Linux Mate on.
Learning Module #5
Raspberry Pi
Connor and Gabby used a Raspberry Pi to create a RetroPie
arcade machine
Learning Module #6

This is a picture of the completed project where it was basically a fully functioning game.
