Vivian and I were able to make LEDs blink using an arduino and breadboard. We used a photosensor to turn the LED light on depending on the darkness in the room.
During this learning module, Vivian and I were able to solder resistors, wires, diodes, and LEDs onto a board and create a circuit. Our project allowed the LEDs to blink while a dial changed the volume of the speaker.
During this learning module, Joe and I created a Twitter bot that could interact with Sam and Vivian's Twitter bot. We used Twython and Thonny.
Shannon and I created a fan that would turn on depending on the temperature in the room. We used an arduino, a temperature sensor, and a fan with a motor. Later, we connected a numeric pad to allow the user to decide the temperature the fan would turn on at.
Shannon and I created an Intruder Alert Security System with a raspberry pi. When the PIR motion sensor detects motion, it takes a picture with the pi camera and sends it directly to the given email address.
For this learning module, Vivian and I made an RC car that could be controlled by an app and could also drive autonomously.
Shannon and I created a SmartBoard using IR LEDs, wii remotes, wires, and batteries. We were able to create a two player connect four applet game and also were able to draw on the front projector screen with the IR pens.
