Imperial citizens tend to treat abhumans with a mixture of hatred, fear and prejudice and it is rare for abhumans to reach positions of power within Imperial society.
However, abhumans in the Astra Militarum are regarded as useful if highly undisciplined warriors and are often used for suicidal assaults where brawn rather than tactical intellect is required.
