1st Company Veteran

Of all the fighting formations that make up a Space Marine Chapter, it is the 1st Company that is invariably the most powerful and feared. For a Space Marine to join the prestigious 1st Company is for him to have won renown on battlefields uncounted and to have earned the respect of his battle-brothers through deeds of blood and fire.

Attributes: Toughness 5, Willpower 5

Skills: Ballistic Skill 5, Leadership 3, Weapon Skill 5

Implacable: You, and any allies within 5 x Rank metres, may add +Rank bonus dice to Resolve and Conviction Tests; once an individual has benefited from this bonus, they must complete a Regroup before being able to do so again. When targeted by a Pinning Attack (or equivalent effect), increase your Resolve by an amount equal to the AR of your Armour; if you are not wearing armour, instead increase it by +Rank.

In addition, choose one of the following specialisms; Sternguard or Vanguard. Your choice of specialism determines your equipment, as well as having different Skill Requirements.

Wargear: Mk VII "Aquila" Power Armour, Astartes Combat Knife, Bolt Pistol

If you are a Primaris Marine, replace your power armour with Mk X "Tacitus" Power Armour, and your Bolt Pistol with a Heavy Bolt Pistol

Precise Burst: When you Shift Exalted Icons for extra damage dice using a ranged weapon with the ADEPTUS ASTARTES Keyword, you may add +Rank to the final damage value.

Wargear: Mastercrafted Boltgun, 3 Frag Grenades, 2 Krak Grenades

You may replace your Boltgun with one of the following options; a Combi-flamer, a Combi-melta, a Combi-plasma gun, or a Storm Bolter

Vanguard

XP Cost: +12

Skills: Weapon Skill 6

Vanguard Assault: You gain +Rank bonus dice on the first attack you make in a scene, and can ignore any Complications which arise from this attack.

Wargear: Jump Pack, 2 Frag Grenades, 2 Krak Grenades. Choose one of the following options; an Astartes Chainsword, a Lightning Claw, a Power Fist, a Power Sword, or a Thunder Hammer.

You may also replace your Bolt Pistol with either a Lightning Claw or Storm Shield.
