The Thale-Cryez System is a binary star system comprised of the yellow-white dwarf Thayle, and the white dwarf Cryez. It was first colonised during the Great Crusade and now serves as a small but important waystation along the Sonov-Transh Run.
An F-type main-sequence star, or yellow-white dwarf, of slightly higher mass than Sol. It's planetary system comprises the worlds of Acrar, Trioso, Eorus, Hasheojan, Qespien, Iucharia, and Thazophra.
A white dwarf star that orbits Thayle, and has it's own planetary system; the worlds of Laubos, Thion, and Lioton. Cryez’s orbit is wide enough that it has little effect on those of Thayle’s planets but close enough that sub-light travel between the two sub-systems is feasible.

Population: < 27 million
Planetary Governance: Lord Aspiro Kel
Capital: Ili’tui
Geography/Environment: Largely oceanic, with scattered tropical island chains
Settlement Types: Small coastal towns, “Raft Cities” (large floating cities)
An Agri-World dominated by a planet-spanning ocean, broken only by a few scattered island chains on the tectonic plate boundaries, the majority of Trioso’s population spend their lives fishing or toiling in algae farms to provide food for the rest of the system. As well as its role as an Agri-World, the planet also serves as a Garden World due to its natural beauty; because of this, industrial fishing is only allowed out of sight of the land, leading to the advent of large floating “Raft Cities” which contain lots of the planets industrial capability, and are capable of hunting the larger aquatic creatures which dwell beneath the depths.
Trioso hosts a sizeable population of Pelagers; an abhuman subspecies possessing both gills and lungs, as well as webbed hands and feet. Unlike most abhumans, Pelagers on Trioso are treated as full citizens, as their unique adaptations make them excellent fishermen.

Geography/Environment: Hydrogen atmosphere surrounding a layer of liquid metallic hydrogen and a molten core
Settlement Types: N/A
The largest planet in the system and the primary source of the hydrogen used as fuel for the system's fusion reactors. Several hydrogen refineries orbit in the planet’s upper atmosphere, alongside a small cluster of orbital facilities to maintain the operations.
It has 43 moons, 2 of which are inhabited; Reter's World and Aepro
Classification: Mining World (Moon Colony)
Population: ~ 77,000
Planetary Governance: Lord Selin Reter
Capital: Hraex
Geography/Environment: Barren wasteland exposed to the void
Settlement Types: Sealed dome cities and subsurface colonies
Settled three centuries ago by a prominent mining magnate, Arne Reter, the moon has remained in their family's possession ever since.

Settlement Types: Sealed dome cities and subsurface colonies
A repair hub for many of the machines used to harvest Euros’ hydrogen; it also produces many small civilian voidships. It is notable for its elected leadership (although the candidate pool rarely includes anyone who isn’t a member of the moon’s small aristocracy).

Settlement Types: N/A
A ringed gas giant, and second largest planet in the system, it is notable for a buoyant gas-dwelling species resembling a balloon; this species is considered a delicacy amongst the elite of Trioso's society, and many people risk their lives hunting it.
It has 51 moons, none of which are inhabited (beyond a few scattered mining outposts and research stations)

Geography/Environment: An ice-shrouded rocky core surrounded by a dense atmosphere of hydrogen, ammonia, methane, and water vapour
Settlement Types: N/A
The third largest planet in the system, and it’s only ice giant. The planet itself is of little use beyond being a convenient gravitational body for slingshot manoeuvres to transit to and from the system's secondary star Cryez.
It has 11 moons, of which only 1 is inhabited - Rono.
Classification: Colony World (Ice/Ocean Moon)
Population: ~ 121,000
Planetary Governance: Lord Tellon Pravanze
Capital: Ronstadt
Geography/Environment: Icy wasteland with a dense methane atmosphere, covering a sublunar ocean
Settlement Types: Aquatic cities hanging from the icy crust
An outwardly inhospitable world, covered in barren, icy wastelands which cover a secret; a vast sub-surface ocean of liquid water, home to several species of aquatic life. Discovered 160 years ago by accident when a smuggler’s ship crashed into a particularly thin area of the crust, which melted from the heat of the ship’s malfunctioning plasma drive. Colonisation began not long after this, with elegant “hanging” cities suspended from the icy crust, and surrounded by the subsurface ocean. Many Pelager abhumans native to Trioso migrated to the new world, and many of the cities are only semi-sealed, with their inhabitants able to swim freely through the streets and passages.

A former Mining World, its ore veins have long since been depleted, and this icy husk now serves as an Armoury World for the Departmento Munitorum; in tunnels where once miners toiled to extract precious metals and minerals, now stand millions of sealed crates containing all manor of weapons, ammunition, and military supplies, assembled for a war which was ended far sooner than anticipated. Its facilities and defences are manned by three full regiments of the Astra Militarum, as well as a host of support staff from the Adeptus Administratum

A dead husk of a world, at the very edge of the Thayle System. Centuries ago, an attempt was made to colonise the world, but it ended in disaster. Stories say that the colonists began to complain of strange noises, followed by visions and voices in their heads; shortly after this, the colony went silent. When a team arrived to investigate, they found its inhabitants had clawed out their own eyes and ears, before walking out of the habitat’s airlocks, seemingly of their own volition.
Following this, the Inquisition declared the planet under quarantine, and all further exploration efforts were forbidden. With the power of the Inquisition now waning as a result of the Great Rift, many have begun to eye the world with curiosity once more…
