A character with the [CHAPTER] keyword may select one of the Chapters listed on pages 73 to 75 of the Core Rules, or one of the options below.
Replace your [CHAPTER] Keyword with the name of your chosen Chapter and apply any Chapter Traits to your character.
Since the horrors of the Horus Heresy, many new Chapters have been founded, their gene-seed donated from an existing Chapter. Most adhere to the same methodology and observances of their progenitor; if creating a character from a Successor Chapter, use the Chapter Traits of its parent Chapter.
If you are playing a Space Marine of a chapter of unknown succession, you may take the Chapter Traits of any of the First Founding Chapters listed. Replace your CHAPTER Keyword with the name of your chosen successor Chapter.
Savage Echoes: You may reroll Double Rank dice once per melee attack Test.
The Red Thirst (Gene-seed): Whenever you are in melee combat and see blood, you must make a DN 3 Willpower Test. If you fail, you are Frenzied.
Grim Resolve: You may reroll Double Rank dice once per ranged attack Test when you Aim.
The Unforgiven (Tradition): You suffer a +2 DN penalty to any social Tests made against anyone outside of your Chapter.
Siege Masters: You may reroll Double Rank dice once per attack against a building, fortification, or enemy in cover.
You may also add +Rank bonus dice whenever you make a Test related to architectural engineering.
Gene-seed Flaw (Gene-seed): You are missing implant 12: Sus-an Membrane, and implant 17: Bletcher’s Gland.
The Flesh is Weak: Choose one Augmetic Enhancement.
You do not suffer the penalties of being Wounded.
You gain +1 bonus die to Willpower Tests for every augmetic you have.
Ruthless Logic (Tradition): You suffer a +2 DN penalty to Fellowship-based Tests made against a target that does not have the IRON HANDS or ADEPTUS MECHANICUS Keywords.
Master of Shadows: You may reroll Rank dice once per Stealth Test.
Running, using a Jump Pack, or similar circumstances do not affect your Stealth (A) Tests.
Dark Heritage (Gene-seed): You are missing implant 16: Mucranoid, and implant 17: Bletcher’s Gland.
You suffer a + 1 DN penalty to any Fellowship-based Test made against any target that could be frightened of your appearance.
Promethean Cult: You may reroll Rank dice once per attack Test made using a weapon with the FIRE or MELTA Keywords.
You may reroll Double Rank dice once each time you roll Determination against damage from a source with the FIRE or MELTA Keyword.
Infernal Inheritance (Gene-seed): Whenever an ally within 30 metres of you is killed, the GM gains +1 Ruin.
You suffer a + 2 DN penalty to any Fellowshipbased Test made against any target that could be frightened of your appearance.
Hunters Unleashed: You have the Acute Sense and Dual Wield Talents.
Savage Within (Gene-seed): You cannot Fall Back.
Tactical Versatility: You may Shift for Glory twice as part of a Test.
Pride of Ultramar (Tradition): You start each session with 1 Wrath Point instead of 2.
Lightning Assault: You may reroll Double Rank dice once each time you make a Pilot Test.
You triple your Speed when you Charge.
Ritual Scarring (Tradition): You suffer a + 1 DN penalty to any Fellowshipbased Test made against any target that could be frightened of your appearance.
Unknown Succession: The Absolvers are a Chapter of unknown founding and succession; their dogmatic adherence to the Codex Astartes suggests a lineage to the Ultramarines, but there is no decisive evidence.
Use the rules for a Chapter of Unknown Succession, as described above.
Righteous Zeal: When you charge, you may re-roll up to Rank dice on your Weapon Skill Test.
In addition, you may reroll Rank dice when you roll Determination.
Gene-seed Flaw (Gene-seed): You are missing implant 12: Sus-an Membrane, and implant 17: Bletcher’s Gland.
Relic Hunters: You gain +Rank bonus dice on Cunning and Influence Tests to acquire Wargear with the ARCHEOTECH or RELIC Keywords.
Quest for Knowledge (Tradition): You suffer a +1 DN penalty to Fellowship-based Tests made against a target that does not have the ADEPTUS MECHANICUS or BLOOD RAVENS Keyword.
No Matter The Odds: When making an attack while you and your allies are outnumbered at least two-to-one, you may add +Rank dice to your Ballistic Skill or Weapon Skill Test (cannot be used in conjunction with Multi-Attack).
Gene-seed Flaw (Gene-seed): You are missing implant 12: Sus-an Membrane, and implant 17: Bletcher’s Gland.
Strike From The Shadows: You have the Deadshot Talent.
In addition, you can move at a normal pace whilst maintaining Stealth.
Grim Determination (Gene-seed): You are missing implant 16: Mucranoid.
You suffer a +1 DN penalty to Fellowship-based Tests made against a target that does not have the [RAPTORS] Keyword.
Scholarly Wisdom: Once per attack Test you may reroll dice equal to your Scholar Rating (up to a maximum of Double Rank).
Unsolicited Observations (Tradition): You suffer a +1 DN penalty to Fellowship-based Tests made against a target that does not have the TOME KEEPERS Keyword.
