The Space Marines are foremost amongst the defenders of Humanity, the greatest of the Emperor of Mankind's warriors.
After serving as a Scout Marine and proving himself worthy, he may be deemed ready to join the main ranks of his Chapter as a full Battle-Brother. Typically they will first join a Devastator Squad, where they will learn the principles of fire support. Following their tour of duty as Devastators, Space Marines typically join the ranks of the Assault Marines where they receive additional training in close quarters combat. Finally they will become a member of a Tactical Squad, having proved themselves a courageous warrior and expert in every field of warfare.
