Ruinstalkers are those who journey through dangerous ruins seeking out hidden treasures for fortune and glory.
Who Will Enjoy: Anyone who enjoys finding lots of things, discovering hidden pasts, and unearthing fallen empires.
Cross-Subclass: Ruinstalker pairs well with Scholar, Scribe, Courier, Militiaman, and Politician.
9 to 5 [Slotted Ability]: [Slotted Ability] 5 Seconds Roleplay focusing, Flight, Run 20 Steps in a Straight Line..
Workaholic: You may instead Flight, 0 Steps, so long as you are touching a Tall, Solid Object such as a Tree or a Wall..
Married to the Job: When you land from Flight, you may Flight, 5 Steps in a straight line. This does not trigger itself.
30 Second Count: You may Appraise the Danger of a Site, and whether that danger is likely Monster, Puzzle, or Trap based. Sites that are multiple will ping the one with the highest danger.
Identify Culture: 1 Focus: You may ask staff what Culture an Object or Ruin is from, what Purpose an Object or Ruin Served, or what Age and Approximate Value an Object or Ruin site is.
Scout Ruins: 1 Time Unit: You may ask staff for a Ruins Site in the Area, or in a Specific Area you Specify. You may find either a Simple Ruin, or a Sprawling Ruin. Sprawling Ruins require a Mod to interact with. These sites can be interacted with using your other Archaeology skills.
Nimble Fingers: You may All or Nothing with Staff to Disarm a Trap you can touch. Failure: Sets off Trap, Neutral: Nothing, Success: Disarms and Destroys Trap. This may not work on extremely powerful traps.
Well Wandered: 1 Focus: Bid Rank X Archaeology Knowledge of Y.
Where X is your Rank in Archaeology, and Y is the culture of a Ruin you control.
Excavate: 2 Time Units: Ruin becomes an Excavation. Once per Event at any Excavation you control, you may spend 1 Time Unit to gain 1 Artifact of the same type as the Ruin per rank of Ruinstalker you possess.
Pillage: 1 Time Unit: You may destroy a Ruin, and gain 2 Artifacts for each Rank in Ruinstalker you possess of the same type as the Ruin.
Nimble Spirit: 1 Focus:You may Recall any Ruinstalker Gear you own at the same Mod site back to your hands, such as Grappling Hooks, Light Crystals, etc.
Reconstrucionism: 5 Time Units: You may gain control of a new Site that gains the Building boons and functions of it's original form. An Ruinstalker may only have up to their Rank number of these sites.
Ancient Aether: 2 Focus: You may search a target or Non-Merchant Site with Detect Aetherspace. This can find objects hidden in Aetherspace.
Expedition Outfitting: You may gain access to a Tent which can be used in tabletops and packs into a small gem when not in use, and when traveling to Ruins far enough away to require Basic Travel to Reach, you may reduce the Time Unit cost to travel by 1.
Special Collection: 1 Time Unit: This must be used when you Excavate or Pillage a Site.
Doctoral Work: You may write up a 1 page or longer thesis or body of knowledge concerning a culture from whom you control a Ruin. You must give a presentation on this document to any interested scholars in the area, and turn a copy over to the library. You may gain 4 DXP.
Aetherbreak: You may spend 2 Focus and 2 DXP to break an Aetherlock upon an Object.
Cultural Appropriation: 5 Time Units: You may move a Ruin or Site you control from one location to another. This requires staff assistance and acquiescence.
Lost Era Ruin Site: You know the location of a Lost Era Ruin, this site is Sprawling, Dangerous, and contains artifacts from another era. This information is what people are killed over.
Ruinstalkers are able to re-purpose artifacts, discover hidden secrets by examining objects and scraps of lore, and quickly discover methods or recipes.

Recall Stone - 3 Artifacts
1 Use: Teleport to a Ruin you have Control of.[Archaeologist Only]
Survey Report - 2 Artifacts
1 Use: Gain Strategic Map information about an area at which you have a Ruin you have control over.[Archaeologist or Militiaman Only]
Light Crystals - 1 Artifact
You may create a number of small light crystals that can be scattered around a site to provide dim light.
Grappling Hook - 3 Artifacts
You may affix a Rope between two target sites by touching the two sites with the Grappling Hook, it will allow people to cross chasms or climb steep hills at a Slow pace.
Skysteel Bullwhip - 8 Artifacts
Trinket: You may touch the Bullwhip, and skip the 5 Second Roleplay of your 9 to 5 Skill. [Archaeologist Only]
Preserving Plaque - 15 Artifacts
1 Use: Turns a 1 Use Archaology related Item into a Once Per Year Item. See Staff on Use.
Skyiron Compass - 3 Artifacts
2 Focus: Get a Rough Direction to a Target you know the name of.
Small Ruin Restoration Kit - 50 Artifacts

Repurpose Item - X Artifacts
You may submit a number of artifacts, and a paper detailing a specific item, its workings, cultural relevance, or intended function. The more artifacts and more specific the information you give, the better the result. This can be used to gain culture-flavored weapons, recipes, or even powerful items from the past.
