Reputations are how the various factions of Ananke view you, and determine their actions. They are biddable stats, but done so through conversations with other characters. Those characters may ask to see your Papers, this is a request to look at your character sheet and verify your reputations. Lying about your reputation may result in being attacked, arrested, or harassed.
Example: Alonzo the Rat is approached by a Drosian Security Team. Being armed, and a native, Alonzo is at first treated with hostility by the troops who raise their weapons, but as they do so he tells them “I am an Ally of Captain Droth, and have been faithful to the Imperium!”. They ask to see his papers (Character Sheet), and indeed find he is an ally and shoulder their weapons, offering to escort him to the next town over.
Reputation Gains and Losses are handled by staff as your character takes actions that affect factions. Some factions are considered "At War" with one another, and performing actions for one will result in loss of reputation with the other. If you feel you should be higher with a faction, you should send an email to staff.
All Reputations generally start at Neutral, though some factions may start at Hostile or Friendly depending on their dispositions.
Reviled: This faction especially hates you. They will go out of their way to cause you harm and generally attempt to kill or capture you. It is not generally possible to raise a reputation above this point without extreme effort.
Hostile: This faction dislikes you, and may attach or harass you on sight.
Neutral: This faction has no particular opinion of you one way or another, or has not heard of you.
Friendly: This faction likes you, and may assist you in minor things if you ask.
Allied: This faction believes you an ally and will fight with you or assist you in endeavors, especially when they aid them.
Exalted: This faction strongly believes you are an ally and asset. They consider you one of theirs, or at least as close to it as possible, and will aid you regardless of whetehr or not it will assist their own endeavors.
The Guardians of Pa’man: An extremist group of vigilantes and freedom fighters who oppose The Occupation. They wish to restore Highguard to its people, and do so through any means necessary.
The Occupation: The Highguard wing of the Drosian Imperium, the Occupation thinks of itself as a peacekeeping operation, and is committed to bringing structure and order to the savage tribal peoples of Highguard.
