Ho'ua

The Ho'ua of Anshu

The Ho'ua are one of the elder races of Ananke hailing primarily from the Anshu Empire, proud of their traditions going back twenty-thousand years. Before the occupation the empire was host to a fourth Windlord and family of Ho'ua, but legends state that they were killed when they refused to honor the treaty between Anshu and The Imperium.

Who should play one?

The Ho’ua have vibrant, ornate costuming, and people who take pride in their clothing skills would enjoy the feel of a Ho’ua. Ho’ua are also quite skilled at Subclasses, gaining bonuses to the work done behind the scenes.

Blessings of the Windlords

On a Ho'ua's first birthday, they are brought to a temple to recieve a blessing from one of the three Windlords. This blessing guides the Ho'ua's station as they grow, and their personality and plumage adapt to match that of the Windlord they were blessed by. It is considered vital the child be blessed, as those who do not recieve a blessing do not survive childhood.

Rohk

Birds of the Skies and Storms, Rokh are suited to Leadership Stations. Colored in Silver and Purple feathers, their Zemi is a White Glowing Crystal.

Roleplay: Superiority

Blessing: You may gain an additional favor for each IVU spent for Favors.

Phoenix

Creatures of Fire and Rebirth, the Phoenix often take to Stations of Entertainemnt. Colored in Red and Gold feathers, their Zemi is a Flickering Candle.

Roleplay: Vivaciousness

Blessing: You may gain 50% more Lunans from any “Entertainer” job you possess.

Strix

Creatures of Knowledge and Secrecy, the Strix take to Stations of Learning. Colored in Black and Brown feathers, their Zemi is a Pitch Black Stone.

Roleplay: Secretiveness

Blessing: You may gain an additional 50% questions from any Scholarship IVU spent between events.

Costuming: Feathers throughout costuming of appropriate color, Hair in appropriate color matching Feathers, Eagle Eye or Bird Eye Contacts, Highly Ornate Clothing, Black Fingernails, Rokh: White Glowing Crystal, Phoenix: Flickering Candle, Strix: Pitch Black Stone

Base Racial

Anshu Politics: You may spend an additional 3 Focus per event. This bonus does not apply during downtime.

Racial Boons

Costume Level 1:

As the Rokh Flies: At Will: Gain Aura Flight. You do not take falling damage.

Costume Level 2:

Ho'ua Bloodline: +1 Strength, +1 Will

Bird of a Feather: You may create a Feather that you may at will correspond with the holder of it. Requires prop. It lasts 1 month. You may only have 1 active at a time.

Costume Level 3:

Inspirational Voice (slotted ability): Spend 1 minute speaking in front of others in a manner appropriate to your type (inspirational speech, performance, lesson or information). Everyone who listens may gain Imbue +2 Temp Blood or Spirit. If you spend 1 Will, you may Imbue 1 additional ability slot for the next encounter.

Blessing of the Windlords:

Rokh: You gain favors at a 2 for 1 rate.

Phoenix: Special Reincarnation Rules. Your Death count progresses at half speed.

Strix: You may follow up any scholarship question with an Epiphany. You may bid “Worldsight”, to see information about the realms.
