Espers are spirits that exist in the world. Forces of nature, or the essence of long forgotten heroes. Powerful Summoners and Eidolons can seek the world to capture and enter into contracts with these spirits, but there are a few with more Mercenarial tendencies that are willing to work with beginning adventurers.
Base Skill: Gain the fighter Power style and Flurry style for spike damage of Hit 1.
Glory or Death: Spend 15 seconds Rping being worked into a frenzy. Yell "Glory or Death”, charge the enemy, and you may call a heroic attack of Hit 5.
Roleplay: Cannot resist rage for any reason. RP being pissy and easily offended. May only wield a single weapon and no other weapons or implements.
Summoner Special: If a summoner calls “Highlander's Glory or Death” then you may immediately yell "Glory or Death!" and charge for the heroic attack of Hit 5.
Summoner Eidolon Synergy: If both the summoner and the eidolon have purchased the Esper then the Summoner Special gains +5 Heroic damage and is done three times in a row.
Upgrade 1: When using Two-Handed Style with a sword, you may plant your foot and strike each target within weapons reach for spike damage
Upgrade 2: Spike damage +1 and heroic damage +5 for Highlander attacks only.
Upgrade 3: When bidding to accomplish a physical task, you may add “Physical prowess” to your bid to convey experience in accomplishing physical tasks without raw strength. When making bids to break a thing, you may add this to your bid. This represents a career in breaking people and things in pursuit of victory
Base Skill: Speak with dead at will
Take their Flesh Spend 1 spirit with a 5 second focus to throw a packet for Sever.
Roleplay RP coughing after every sentence or spell. Take slow, Lose Heroic DR.
Summoner Special If a summoner calls “Simulacra Cheribum, Take their flesh” then you may throw a packet for Sever without spirit cost.
Summoner Eidolon Synergy If both the summoner and the eidolon have purchased the Esper then the Summoner Special becomes two packets of Destroy [limb].
Upgrade 1 5 second focus to call Packet Remove Animate
Upgrade 2 15 second focus to call Curse Remove Death, with curse compel obey me (may only be cast within 1 minute of death)
Upgrade 3 15 second focus and 1 spirit to cast Dominate Undead
Base Skill 15 second RP: Restore Blood 1
Light of Excalibur 15 second RP and 1 Spirit: Area Restore Blood 1 (affects enemies and allies)
Roleplay Roleplay self-sacrificing. You may only speak in whispers.
Summoner Special If a summoner calls "Nymue's Light of Excalibur" you may immediately call Area Restore Blood 1 without spirit cost.
Summoner Eidolon Synergy If both the summoner and the eidolon have purchased the Esper then the Summoner Special becomes Area Remove Poison, Remove Disease.
Upgrade 1 RP 1 minute to restore 1 spirit
Upgrade 2 Halt Deathcount on target. You must stay over the body while you do this.
Upgrade 3 Reverse Deathcount. You may count back a death count by 1 for every 2 seconds. You are considered prone while you do this.
Base Skill Plant your feet. You may throw Fire 1s for no cost.
Fire and Death Spend 1 spirit, say "Fire and Death", and throw a packet for Fire 15.
Roleplay RP Impulsive and Loud. You lose your Heroic DR. You may not carry any paper or it will burn.
Summoner Special If the summoner calls "Orinda's Fire and Death" you may call "Fire and Death" and throw a packet for Fire 15 without spirit cost.
Summoner Eidolon Synergy If both the summoner and the eidolon have purchased the Esper then the Summoner Special may be delivered with any weapon for Hit, Range, or Core depending on weapon and the effect is repeated three times.
Upgrade 1 5 second RP to gain Aura Fire Resist
Upgrade 2 15 second focus to gain Aura or Imbue Firestorm (throw Fire 2s, move under slow). You may add this damage to your base skill.
Upgrade 3 15 second focus to gain Aura or Imbue Firestorm: Sunder
Base Skill RP getting out of sight and gain aura dagger damage +1 and dagger heroic damage +5.
To the Shadows Spend 15 seconds in shadows to gain Aura Shroud. You may not move. If you leave the Shroud without still being in shadows spend 1 Spirit.
Roleplay RP Discomfort when anyone is paying attention to you. You lose your heroic DR when not in shadows.
Summoner Special If a Summoner calls "???: To the Shadows", you may may gain Aura Invisible with Slow.
Summoner Eidolon Synergy If both the summoner and the eidolon have purchased the Esper then the Summoner Special may instead be Immediately Skitterflit to any shadow in line of sight.
Upgrade 1 2 foot weapons may call Body damage.
Upgrade 2 You may call Range when attacking from behind.
Upgrade 3 When attacking from behind, your 2 foot weapons gain +1 base damage and +5 heroic damage.
Base Skill Gain +2 Blood and -1 Spirit.
Law and Order Spend 1 Blood to call Hit Resist.
Roleplay RP being ponderous and slow to respond. If someone calls you by name and orders you to do something, you are under Compel to do it unless you spend 1 spirit to resist. Being ordered to do the same thing again has no effect.
Summoner Special If a Summoner calls "Golem's Law and Order" you may gain Aura Hit Resist.
Summoner Eidolon Synergy If both the summoner and the eidolon have purchased the Esper then the Summoner Special becomes Aura Block.
Upgrade 1 Call Guard and touch someone struck to take the hit for them. You may use defenses against things that strike you as normal.
Upgrade 2 Call out a loud verbal challenge against a single foe on the field. Every time the foe calls damage or an effect against a target other than you, you may call Spike damage. Cooldown: 3 hits or 5 seconds
If your guarded ally is struck, Heroic Strike against that target.
Upgrade 3 Your Esper's Spike strikes become "Down" instead. Your Heroic strikes become "Knockout"
