Under the guidance of their lecturers, students actively participated in the laboratory testing procedures, gaining practical skills in environmental analysis and water resource management. This initiative not only contributes to a better understanding of the lake's ecological health but also reinforces the students' theoretical knowledge with real-world application, highlighting the department's commitment to practical education and environmental awareness within the campus.
2. An exposure program for PSA (lecturers and students) has been implemented to raise awareness of the importance of caring for the environment. The Diploma in Civil Engineering students and lecturers from Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah are spearheading the 'Love Our Lake' program at Taman Tasik Shah Alam on April 26, 2025. In collaboration with the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) and the Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS), this initiative aims to raise awareness about the critical importance of preserving water resources, particularly lakes as vital freshwater ecosystems. The program provides students with invaluable experiential learning opportunities in the sustainable management of clean and wastewater while fostering a sense of responsibility and environmental stewardship within the community and the younger generation, contributing to a more sustainable future.
