The third focus area is environmental and landscape management, which integrates environmental management practices into the institution's operations through policies and procedures to ensure that the best environmental practices are applied in daily affairs. The focus in landscape management, on the other hand, is directed towards providing a clear understanding of the importance of biodiversity and landscapes for environmental sustainability, as well as creating landscapes that can maintain local biodiversity.
