The “Integrating Smartgreen Initiatives Across Institutions” Webinar was conducted at Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (PSA) on 3 August 2026 at 9.00 a.m. The programme served as a knowledge-sharing platform to enhance understanding of sustainable landscape management and Smartgreen practices within educational institutions.

The webinar highlighted the importance of using a data-driven approach in planning and managing green initiatives. Participants were introduced to the principles of establishing baseline data, measuring current conditions, managing sustainability actions, reducing environmental impacts, and verifying improvements. The session also shared practical approaches to low-maintenance and sustainable landscape management, which can help institutions optimise resources while maintaining a healthy and attractive campus environment.

Farm Fresh in Dewan Al Jazari , Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah.
The images show a Farm Fresh activity held at Dewan Al-Jazari, Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (PSA), on 8 August 2026. The programme provided an opportunity for the PSA community to access and purchase fresh agricultural produce and food products directly at the campus.

The activity promotes awareness of fresh and locally sourced food, while creating a platform that connects agricultural products with the campus community. It can also encourage healthier food choices, support local producers and strengthen awareness of sustainable food consumption.

PSA Water Management Awareness Programme – Water Wise Day 2026

The images show the implementation of Water Wise Day 2026 at PSA, an awareness initiative designed to strengthen water conservation and sustainable water management practices among students, staff, and the campus community.

The programme included several interactive activities such as the Water Info Corner, Water Wise Day SPAH Snap, quizzes and QR-based activities, as well as educational games such as “Guess the Drop.” Students were actively involved in managing the activity stations and engaging with participants. These activities made water conservation education more interactive, practical, and enjoyable.

Through this programme, PSA promotes water management not only by encouraging people to reduce water consumption but also by developing a culture of monitoring, conserving, reusing, and protecting water resources. The SPAH-related activity also supports awareness of rainwater harvesting systems as an alternative water source for suitable non-potable campus applications.

The programme contributes to PSA’s water management efforts by promoting several practices:

• Water conservation – encouraging responsible and efficient water use.

• Water awareness and education – providing information on the importance of protecting water resources.

• Rainwater harvesting awareness – promoting the potential use of harvested rainwater for appropriate campus purposes.

• Leak and wastage prevention – encouraging early identification and reporting of water leakage.

• Behavioural change – encouraging water-saving habits that can be practised daily.

The programme helps transform water-saving knowledge into practical daily behaviour and strengthens PSA’s commitment towards becoming a water-efficient and sustainable green campus.

The International Webinar on “Integrating Smartgreen Initiatives Across Institutions”, held on 13 August 2026, was organised as a knowledge-sharing platform to strengthen collaboration and exchange best practices in sustainability and green campus initiatives.

The webinar brought together speakers and participants from different institutions to discuss approaches to Smartgreen practices, sustainable development, green technology, environmental management, and institutional collaboration. The programme also highlighted how educational institutions can contribute to environmental sustainability through practical initiatives, research, innovation, and community engagement.

The webinar provided an opportunity for participants to learn from the experiences of other institutions, identify sustainability practices that could be adapted to their own campuses, and establish networks for future green collaborations.

The Drive-Thru Used Clothing Donation Programme is a green initiative that encourages the PSA community to donate unwanted but still usable clothing, bags, shoes, caps, hijabs, towels, and other suitable textile items. The programme uses a convenient drive-and-drop concept, allowing contributors to bring their donations by vehicle and hand them over at the designated collection point.

The programme aims to extend the life cycle of clothing and textile products, reduce textile waste sent to landfills, and promote a culture of reuse, sharing, and responsible consumption. Donated items that are still in good condition can be reused or channelled to people who need them, giving the items a second life rather than being discarded.

This initiative also strengthens environmental awareness and community participation by encouraging PSA staff and students to practise sustainable lifestyles. It supports the principles of the circular economy, where usable materials remain in circulation for as long as possible.

Karnival Sihat Merdeka.
The Karnival Sihat Merdeka 2026 was held at Dewan Al-Jazari, Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (PSA), on 18 August 2026. The programme brought together a large number of students and members of the PSA community in conjunction with the Merdeka celebration, while promoting health awareness, well-being, healthy lifestyles, and community engagement. 700 students involved.

The carnival provided an interactive platform for participants to gain knowledge about health and well-being through various activities, exhibitions, information-sharing sessions, and health-related engagement. The programme also encouraged students to become more aware of the importance of maintaining their physical and mental well-being, while strengthening social interaction, teamwork, and a sense of togetherness within the campus community.

Falak Exploration  Programme
The Falak Exploration Programme at PSA can be related to the Green/SmartGreen agenda, particularly through sustainability education, environmental awareness, STEM learning, and understanding natural phenomena.

The programme provides participants with knowledge about the Earth, Sun, Moon, solar system, celestial movements, and natural phenomena. From a sustainability perspective, it encourages participants to better understand the relationship between the Earth, natural systems, solar energy, and the environment.

Although the programme is not a direct green activity such as recycling, tree planting, or waste management, it contributes to SmartGreen through environmental education and scientific awareness. The green connection becomes stronger if the programme includes topics such as solar observation, renewable energy, climate, or the relationship between the Sun and the Earth.

The JKM EKSA Gotong-Royong Programme involved 200 students in a collaborative campus cleaning and environmental sustainability activity.  The JKM EKSA Merdeka Gotong-Royong Programme was organised by the Mechanical Engineering Department (JKM), PSA, with the active participation of a large number of students, lecturers, and staff.

The programme focused on creating a cleaner, safer, greener, and more organised departmental environment through collective cleaning and environmental activities. Students worked together to clean designated areas, organise facilities, manage waste, and improve the overall cleanliness and appearance of the department.

The programme also served as an important platform for developing teamwork, environmental responsibility, discipline, and a sense of ownership among students. The strong participation demonstrated the commitment of the JKM community towards maintaining a sustainable and conducive campus environment.

Campus Plogging Run & Waste Audit Programme

The image shows the Campus Plogging Run & Waste Audit Programme conducted at PSA on 19 August 2026. The programme combines physical activity with environmental responsibility, where participants walk or jog around the campus while collecting litter and other waste.

The photographs demonstrate active participation in collecting various types of waste, including dry leaves, branches, plastic waste and bulky/discarded items. After collection, the waste can be identified, separated and assessed through a waste audit, helping the campus understand the types and quantities of waste generated.

The programme promotes a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable campus while developing environmental awareness and shared responsibility among students.

Summary: The Campus Plogging Run & Waste Audit successfully integrates healthy physical activity, campus cleanliness, waste collection and environmental education. It encourages participants to practise proper waste management and supports PSA's continuous efforts towards a clean, green and sustainable campus environment.

The image shows the PSA EKSA Merdeka Gotong-Royong Programme, organised by the EKSA PSA, on 19 August 2026, from 8.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The programme involved students from all department programmes and encouraged active participation in maintaining a clean, organised, safe, and conducive departmental environment.

The activities were carried out according to EKSA practices, including the 5S principles: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise and Sustain. As shown in the photograph, students worked collaboratively to sort, organise, arrange and manage documents and materials in the department. Other activities included cleaning workspaces and common areas and improving the overall organisation of the department.

The programme also developed teamwork, discipline, environmental awareness and a sense of responsibility among students. Their direct involvement helps build a culture in which campus cleanliness and good workplace organisation become a shared responsibility rather than relying solely on cleaning staff.

The PSA EKSA Merdeka Gotong-Royong Programme successfully combined campus cleanliness, workplace organisation, student engagement and EKSA practices. It contributed to a more organised and comfortable learning environment while strengthening teamwork and encouraging students to practise cleanliness and sustainability as part of their daily campus culture.

Result of Competion  programme I love Nature via Video & Poster . I Love Nature Video & Digital Poster Competition 2026 – Results Announcement

On 21 August 2026, the results of the “I Love Nature” Video & Digital Poster Competition 2026 were officially announced and the winners were recognised through an award presentation ceremony.

The competition was organised as part of the SmartGreen initiative to encourage participants to express their creativity, environmental awareness, and appreciation for nature through digital posters and videos. The submitted works highlighted important messages related to environmental conservation, love for nature, sustainability, and the responsibility of individuals in protecting the environment.

Certificates and awards were presented to the winners in recognition of their creativity, commitment, and contribution to promoting green awareness. The programme also provided an engaging platform for participants to use digital media as a tool for sustainability education and environmental advocacy.

The competition contributes to the development of a stronger green culture within the PSA community by encouraging creative participation in environmental campaigns.

The PolyCCSustAward 2026 Document Preparation Workshop was conducted at the PSA e-Learning Room, with the participation of the Bidang Tujahan (BT) Heads and committee members. The workshop focused on preparing, reviewing, organising, and strengthening the required documentation and evidence for the PolyCCSustAward 2026 assessment.

The programme also encouraged teamwork and collaboration among the committees to ensure that PSA’s sustainability initiatives, achievements, and supporting evidence were systematically documented and aligned with the award requirements.
