SmartGreen PSA, with 120 environmentally conscious students, has completed a 10-layer compost fertiliser. This hands-on project provided participants with a practical understanding of how to transform waste into a valuable resource. The compost was meticulously created using a specific layering technique, including layers of cardboard, paper, dry leaves, kitchen waste, wet leaves, living branches, dolomite, black soil, sand, topsoil, and molasses. This process can take between 20 to 50 days to decompose, depending on microbial activity, and provides students with insight into the complex science behind composting. The initiative encourages sustainable practices but also equips students with the knowledge to produce their own organic fertiliser, thereby contributing to a greener campus.

SmartGreen PSA, in a collaborative spirit of community service, carried out a successful CSR programme with the residents of Pangsapuri Sri Melewar. The initiative focused on promoting environmental sustainability and fostering a sense of shared responsibility. Through this programme, SmartGreen PSA, in partnership with the residents, implemented various green activities, which served to educate and empower the community. This collaboration highlights PSA's commitment to extending its sustainability efforts beyond the campus and making a tangible, positive impact on the surrounding Shah Alam community. It demonstrates that by working together, we can create cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable living spaces for everyone.
