Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (PSA), located in Shah Alam, Selangor, is one of Malaysia’s leading polytechnics under the Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education (JPPKK), Ministry of Higher Education.
PSA was established in 1997 as part of the Malaysian government’s initiative to expand access to technical and vocational education, particularly in the central region. The polytechnic was named in honour of His Royal Highness Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, the late Sultan of Selangor, who greatly contributed to the development of education in the state.
Since its establishment, PSA has grown into a Comprehensive Polytechnic, offering a wide range of engineering, commerce, design, and information technology programmes. It serves as a centre for producing skilled, innovative, and industry-ready graduates who meet the needs of Malaysia’s growing economy.
Over the years, PSA has developed strong partnerships with industries and international institutions, reflecting its commitment to applied research, innovation, and sustainability. The institution also promotes initiatives such as SmartGreen PSA, focusing on environmental responsibility, smart campus development, and sustainable innovation.
Today, PSA continues to play a vital role in driving Malaysia’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) agenda, contributing to the nation’s goal of becoming a high-income, knowledge-based economy.
