Supply Chain Management pertains to the efficient management of the flow of goods and services from the procurement of raw materials to their ultimate delivery to the end-user. It encompasses a sequence of meticulously planned events that facilitate the provision of the appropriate product at the appropriate location and time. A supply chain constitutes an interconnected network of individuals, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, technologies, and processes.

Consult with supply chain planners to predict demand and establish supply plans that guarantee the availability of materials or products.

Establish performance metrics for the measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.

Examine inventories to determine how to enhance inventory turns, decrease waste, or optimize customer service.

Create protocols for the coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.

Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.

Introduce new or improved supply chain processes.

Oversee activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, etc.

Develop or implement procedures or systems to assess or select suppliers.

A student has the option to pursue 12th grade in any stream, followed by completion of a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. Subsequently, the student may choose to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Logistics and Supply Chain. Alternatively, the student may opt to complete a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree, followed by an MBA degree with a focus on Logistics. 

It is also possible for the student to pursue a graduation degree in any discipline, followed by a certification in Supply Chain Management (SCM).
