The Indian Air Force is the fourth-largest air force in the world and one of the strongest pillars of the Indian defence system. It was officially established on 8th October 1932 and offers immense job opportunities in technical and non-technical branches. Indian Air Force officers are responsible for leading, strategizing, managing and carrying out various defences, war, and rescue missions. Some notable Indian Air Force officers include Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh, Air Marshal Subroto Mukherjee, and Air Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa.

There are four career paths to join the Indian Armed Forces:
Complete 12th Maths and pass the NDA exam.
Complete 12th Maths, graduate, and pass the CDS exam.
Complete 12th Maths, graduate with a B.Tech/BE degree, and pass the AFCAT exam.
Complete 12th (Maths and Physics), graduate in any discipline, and pass the NCC Special Scheme Entry with C Certificate.
Students must meet the eligibility criteria for each career path.
