Architecture 

The architect is a professional designer who is responsible for the creation of buildings. In this capacity, the architect provides recommendations and advice regarding modifications to existing structures. The architect employs specialized tools and software to design building plans, and as such, a student aspiring to pursue a career in architecture must possess a high degree of creativity and technological proficiency. Architects may work with individual clients, commercial enterprises, or government entities, and must ensure that their designs are both cost-effective and compliant with legal safety standards, while also aesthetically pleasing.

An architect is responsible for the preparation of scale drawings or architectural designs, utilizing computer-aided design or other relevant tools. They are tasked with planning and designing structures, including but not limited to residences, office buildings, theatres, factories, or other structural properties, while adhering to environmental, safety, or other regulatory requirements. The architect is also responsible for preparing information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, colour, equipment, estimated costs, or construction time. 

Furthermore, the architect is responsible for developing final construction plans that include aesthetic representations of the structure or details for its construction. They must meet with clients to review or discuss architectural drawings, integrate engineering elements into unified architectural designs, and consult with clients to determine functional or spatial requirements of structures. 

The architect must conduct periodic on-site observations of construction work to monitor compliance with plans, monitor the work of specialists, such as electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, interior designers, or sound specialists to ensure optimal form or function of designs or final structures. They also design and plan the construction of green building projects to minimize the adverse environmental impact on nature. 

The architect represents clients in obtaining bids or awarding construction contracts, designs structures that incorporate environmentally friendly building practices or concepts, such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards, performs predesign services, such as feasibility or environmental impact studies, inspects proposed building sites to determine suitability for construction, and creates three-dimensional or interactive representations of designs, using computer-assisted design software.

A student has the option to pursue 12-Science with Mathematics as a compulsory subject, followed by completion of a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Subsequently, the student may choose to proceed with a Master of Architecture degree.
