Aviation Management 

Aviation management encompasses the management of both airport and airline operations. The aviation ground staff is responsible for overseeing routine operations, including ground handling, cargo, aviation safety, fleet management, fueling management, and other matters pertaining to the aviation industry.

An individual who assumes the role of an aviation manager is employed in airports, airlines, or other aerospace enterprises.

The aviation manager assumes responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the aviation department's operations. This includes managing the daily activities of the airline, such as crewing and aircraft scheduling, as well as ensuring that the department adheres to all relevant regulations. Additionally, the aviation manager performs and supervises airfield management activities, including mobile airfield management functions, and coordinates communication between air traffic control and maintenance personnel. Finally, the aviation manager is responsible for training operations staff to ensure that they are equipped to carry out their duties effectively.

There exist two distinct career paths for individuals interested in pursuing a career in aviation management. The first path involves completing 12th grade in any stream, followed by obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Aviation Management. Subsequently, one may proceed to acquire a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Aviation Management. 

The second career path entails completing 12th grade in any stream, followed by obtaining a Bachelor's degree. Upon completion of the undergraduate degree, one may then proceed to acquire a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Aviation Management.

The field of aeronautical sciences encompasses the study of aviation and its related technologies. Air transportation principles are fundamental concepts that govern the movement of people and goods through the air. Project management is a critical discipline that involves planning, organizing, and executing projects to achieve specific goals within a given timeframe and budget.

The following are job titles within the airport operations field: Airport Operations Coordinator, Airport Operations Manager, Airport Operations Officer, Airport Operations Specialist, Assistant Manager Airside Operations, Flight Follower, Operations Agent, Operations Coordinator, Operations Supervisor, and Airport Duty Manager.

There is a significant demand for professionals in the field of Aviation Management. The salary levels for this occupation are moderate, with an average starting salary of 3 to 4 Lacs for freshers. However, the fees associated with pursuing this course are high, with students expected to invest more than 5 Lakhs.
