The industrial designer is responsible for ensuring that the product is aesthetically pleasing, functional, safe, and user-friendly.

It is common for industrial design to be misconstrued as product design. However, product design is merely a subset of industrial design. Unlike industrial designers, product designers are not required to possess knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering design. They focus on designing items such as home decor, plastic products, housewares, accessories, and the like.

Design a range of industrial products through meticulous sketching to offer mechanical solutions for various processes. Develop tangible prototypes of the designs. There exist three distinct career paths for individuals seeking to become an Industrial Designer in India. The first path involves completing 12th grade mathematics, followed by obtaining a B.Tech in Industrial Design, and subsequently pursuing an M.Tech in Industrial Design. The second path entails completing 12th grade science, obtaining a B.Des in Industrial Design, and then pursuing an M.Des in Industrial Design.
