1/4 cup orange juice
6 cups pears quartered
Rinse and juice oranges to equal ¼ cup. Place the juice in a large pan and heat on medium-high.
Rinse the pears and cut into quarters. There is no need to peel the pears! (They all get blended up and the fiber & nutrient count is higher with the skins.)
Add the cut pears to the pan. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and cook for about 30 minutes, until the pears are very soft, stirring often to prevent the bottom from burning.
Transfer the cooked pears to a blender and blend until smooth. * Serve with love!
*CAUTION when blending hot food. Blend in small batches. Cover and hold the lid with a towel to prevent the lid from popping off from the steam.
