It tears us and builds us as well, molds us into a better version of ourselves.
It starts within us, we can’t simply just ask for something we don't even give ourselves. Treat her like she's a diamond, handle her with care.
Don't drown her with mean words.
Don't tear her away with comparisons to others.
Don't crave approval from these shallow men, that have nothing
to offer us.
Love does not look like a person.
Love is investing in the right people.
Self love is accepting who you are, it is choosing
yourself over others.
What inspired me to write a poem about self love was seeing many girls struggle to love themselves, because of what society has to say. I just think self love is the best love you can have and that's why i wanted to write a poem about self love.
This is really good! I love "Don't drown her with mean words.", "Love does not look like a person", and "Self love is accepting who you are, it is choosing yourself over others.". This definitely explains what "Self Love" means and what cause most girl to not give themselves Self Love.

I really like this poem because so like she said in the first stanza, self love can either tear you apart or build you. I like how in her second paragraph she includes ways girl can overthink themselves with trying to seek approval and letting mean words get to her.

I really love this poem, I think this is something a lot of girls should read. The last stanza really reflects on the tittle "Self Love".
