I was walking in my neighborhood
It was a great day everything was going good
Playing soccer having a great time
I was sweating but it was fine
After we went in a car to go eat
I went in the store to get me a treat
I went back home and said goodbye to my friends
And this was the end
It depends
You can have a great day
If you are down to play
I stood up and woke up the next day
I looked out the window and it was winter today
It was snowing and cold
That's what I was told
I drank some coffee in the morning it was hot but nice
I had to take it twice
My friends and I got together to play with the cold white snow
I tried to run in the snow but I felt so slow
I got hit with a snowball
I got mad and threw one back and made my friend fall
But than we laugh it off
But I told him it was an eye for an eye
And we just relaxed
Those were my old memories that stayed with me
I will never forget how it felt hanging out before the pandemic
Always try and be thankful for every moment
Or you will never know when is the last.
The reason I wrote a poem was that for me it is easy to writ about a story that doesn't need a lot of writing and I could explain what was happening in the story without having to write 3 paragraphs.
The main message of my poem "Memory From the Past" is that things could happen out of no where and you could never re live the good memories from before. For example I used the virus that is going on this year as a problem that made us remember about the good times we had with our friends before it happen, like going outside, hanging out, didn't worry about anything that could effect our bodies that much. But know since we are quarantine we have to be virtual and we cant even see our friends that often.
The most important part of my writing I say would be "I will never forget how it felt hanging out before the pandemic" this line is the most important because it sums up the main message of the poem.
I really enjoyed reading this poem. I liked the rhyming in every other sentence it fit perfectly ... great message, and wonderful imagery.
