In the essay “Hobbies”, Maleni Puente draws our attention to the activities we     take part of our interest because hobbies are those fun activities we love to partake in just to distract ourselves from the stresses of life.In the quote “Hobbies make us feel rejuvenated and satisfied, even when our lives are going through some disappointing phase.Hobbies play a very important role in our lives.” is trying to show us that hobbies make us feel in a good way when we feel bad and they are really important in our lives.

                 The essay begins with the author’s explanation to the reader what are the hobbies “Hobbies are really really really  fun!They are incredible activities we love to partake in just to distract ourselves from the stresses of life.”  and how they impact our life. Maleni uses Epizeuxis to describe the fantastic and incredible  that a hobby could be.

                 For example, She give us some of the examples that could be a great thing to spend our time, In the quotes “Playing soccer makes me feel like a free little bird flying in heaven.I like to spend time with my friends and family and I also love to spend time with my Dogs.I like to workout after school.”  She describes and gives us some examples of the fantastic hobbies she likes to spend her time on.

                 The main message that Maleni Puente of this essay is shows us the importance and gives us the message of the amazing and fun thing to do during our leisure time and affords us the opportunity to learn new skills.

"Hobbies make us feel rejuvenated and satisfied, even when our lives are going through some disappointing phase.Hobbies play a very important role in our lives. They occupy our minds when we are free and also make us happy." 

                 What the author is also trying to say is that without a hobby, your life becomes an unhealthy cycle lacking any excitement or spark, because they are activities that help us escape the daily grind of life and work and give us pleasure and peace of mind

                In conclusion hobbies are things we take interest in because we love doing them.Hobbies also are a way to make new friends and meet new people, they help understand ourselves in the world. Everyone has a hobby or hobbies that they are passionate about.

Hobbies give us freedom to express ourselves in different ways, so they can expand our outlook on life.

                 Puente ends the essay by saying that hobbies deal with our specific interests, they give a lot of knowledge, they  allow you to distress yourself while remaining mentally productive and give you an opportunity to enhance your life.

“They  also play an important part in our life because they keep us busy in spare hours and make life happy. They make us forget our worries and give us inspiration, They make life interesting and pleasant.”

I really enjoyed this writing, it made me think about my hobbies and what I like to do in my free time. I enjoyed the examples she gave us and how she described they feeling she would get while she did some of her favorite hobbies. My favorite detail of this writing is that she made a list of the hobbies she likes to do.The way this essay is written is very organized and enjoyable.

What I really liked about this essay is the she put her personal examples of which hobbies she likes and why she likes them. I mainly like the example where she says ¨They also help in expanding our knowledge.¨ I really liked it because I do agree that we learn something from them. Many people start out with a hobby and end up making it a career that actually brings money in and people make a living off of it. I also really liked the part where she would say ¨(i´m not a good singer)¨ because you don´t really have to be good at a hobby for it to be a hobby. Over all I enjoyed reading this essay because I myself take part in many hobbies such as collecting plants, doing acrylic nails, collecting glass figures , and making my own eye lashes. Plus hobbies are fun!
