Why is it so important to vote? People all over the U.S vote for the future of their country every four years, people vote for equal rights, people vote for economic reasons. Whatever the case may be, people elect whoever they think will make the greatest positive change in our country. Running a country isn't a piece of cake, that's why it is important to elect a strong candidate with a passion for his or her country.
One of the top reasons I encouraged everyone over the age of 18 to vote on the presidential election of 2020 would be healthcare. Healthcare has played a huge role in 2020 because of COVID-19. Now what happens if a person doesn't have health care? Do we just leave them to die? well that might be the case for the U.S health care does not provide any benefits to citizens or visitors of the U.S. Many people all over the U.S have stopped visiting their doctor because of how expensive the visits are, in my opinion keeping everyone healthy should be our main priority. I personally believe the raise of taxes would help us improve our healthcare system.
Many people don’t see the point in having a say , many people think ‘’my vote doesn't mean anything over millions of votes,’’ but i think otherwise not only are you voting for yourself but you are voting for women, African Americans, immigrants, and so many more people.
What inspired me to write this essay was the injustice of the healthcare system, many people I know sadly have no health care, therefore they ignore signs of diseases or many other health problems. I hope this essay opened the eyes of many Americans and encouraged them to vote for better healthcare.
In my essay “The voice behind your vote“ written by myself Alma Murillo, I express the importance of why you should vote . My main message to my readers was to go out and use your privilege to vote for those who can’t vote, to make a big change with just one person.
The way my essay was organized was problem and solution, I gave my readers a reason to vote, I provided real life examples of problems around the U.S., along with real facts, I suggested solutions on how to improve these problems, For example the phrase ‘’my vote doesn't mean anything over millions of votes ‘’ will have people second guessing themselves, the importance of healthcare that i mentioned will probably have most of my readers encouraged to make a difference even if they can’t vote. simply I wanted to educate people on healthcare and what really goes on.
Phrases like “we are voting for women, African Americans, immigrants’’ give the piece a more sensitive meaning, this phrase goes into the discrimination these group of people phase everyday. In this piece I use hyperbole when I say “do we just leave everyone to die, well that might be the case for the U.S" to make people have sympathy , I used this phrase to engage readers on why this specific problem is such a big deal. The tone I used in my writing piece would be inspiring, I think this whole writing is just repetition on why you should vote.
In conclusion my main purpose for writing this piece is because I am the daughter of immigrant parents and I have experienced the injustices of healthcare when my mom had a hard time dealing with it when she had cancer. My personal main message would be to have a voice for those who can't speak up. ``
I really like and make me feel interested on this essay when I read the tittle, because is interesting for me, when she said "people vote for equal rights" I think on what was the situation weeks a ago when was the election day, because we have to fight for us rights and future.
" is important to elect a strong candidate with a passion for his or her country.", this is an really important phrase, she said something really important for all the people who leave on U.S, because if we choose an person who just see for business, the country and us future can be really bad, she is specific when talk about " Health Care" and the "Covid" situation, she have an really realistic and important point because with this virus people need medical attention and some hospital and the country ask for a "Health Care" but for some people is difficult have one.
This essay was really good and real, she was so realistic with this situation with the virus.
