A long time ago at the age of three, my mother and my aunt let me and my four year old cousin have some fun at the McDonald's playground. The McDonald's playroom like any other looked nasty with smudges over all the rubber that was made by kids of what looked like food. The playroom had this distinctive smell of sweat mixed with food and that constant smell of a kids barf that never goes away.
The only thought that was in my head was to get to the top and show off to my mother which would make me feel great and happy. After finishing eating the food that I had gotten, I proceeded to go toward the playroom with my cousin. Making our way to the top was a hassle, I've always hated climbing the steps and touching them with my bare hands it always made me feel unclean.
Right as we made it to the top we started waving towards our parents, I noticed that I was to close to the edge and only half my body was on the platform. I had asked my cousin to scoot up to give me more room but she wouldn't have been able to continue on waving so I got ignored. I started to feel a little uneasy by the situation I was in because at this moment anything could happened. Since half my body was still dangling I had started to lose my balance, next thing I know I wake up at the bottom of the steps with a headache. As I stood up I felt this throbbing pain in the back of my head that felt like the pain of a bruise, holding the back of my head I started walking out of the playroom. Stumbling while I walked toward my mom, my cousin had told me that my head was bleeding and it was gushing out of my head like a waterfall, down my neck. Once my mom had seen the blood coming out of my head she quickly scooped me up and rushed me to the hospital. I was awake during the whole car ride and I remember just saying random things out loud while my aunt was going fast, fast down the road heading toward the hospital. Next thing I know is i'm laying on a bed slightly asleep and a certain spot on the back of my head being stabled, I only heard it but my head felt frozen that I didn't feel it.
After that I don't really remember anything else that happened, this is the only memory that I currently remember from my childhood. The one thing I have learned from this accident that happened to me is to always be cautious of a situation you are in, because not everything in life goes right. Also it taught me to always listen to my mom because she always told me to be careful.
