LESS GODS
LESS GODS
Apart from the more well-known minor gods that you can find HERE, there were others.
Some of them were.
Eros, the god of love and desire. With his beautiful wings and magical bow, Cupid flew silently over the world, seeking hearts he could unite. When he shot his arrows, men and gods were filled with love and passion. Eros, son of Venus, brought happiness and unity to souls that were destined to be together, making the world more beautiful and full of love.
Morpheus was the god of dreams. Every night, with his magical wings, he flew silently over cities and villages, bringing people dreams full of colour and imagination. People woke up happy, filled with the beautiful images that Morpheus gave them.
Pluto was the god of wealth and abundance. He held a horn of Amalthea, filled with fruit and flowers, and distributed it to those in need. When Plutus walked the earth, the fields were filled with fruit and the people lived happy and full lives.
Pan was the god of shepherds, flocks and wildlife. He lived in the green forests and meadows, with his crickets and horns, playing his flute and spreading joy to all the creatures of nature. When Pan played his music, the nymphs danced and the animals were at peace, enjoying his melody.
Death was a silent and revered presence that brought the end of life. With its black cloak and scythe, it accompanied souls in eternal sleep. Although it evoked fear, people knew that Death was a necessary companion, leading them respectfully and caringly into the next world.
Hypnos was the god of sleep. With his soft hands, he touched people's eyelids and brought them sweet sleep. Hypnos made people sleep deeply and peacefully, recovering their strength for the next day. Thanks to him, they woke up full of energy and vitality. He had a twin brother, Death.
Proteus was a sea god, known for his ability to change form. He could transform himself into any animal or object he wanted. Fishermen and sailors considered him wise and tried to capture him to reveal the secrets of the sea. Proteus was also consulted by the Argonauts on their return from Colchis.
Nereus was the god of the sea and the father of the Nereids. He lived in the depths of the ocean and was known for his wisdom and justice. Sailors respected and honoured him, knowing that Nereus protected the sea and guided them safely on their voyages.
