King Minos
King of Crete in those years was Minos. A wise king who grew up and glorified Crete. Once he wanted to offer sacrifices to Poseidon, who was the protector of his island. But he wanted to sacrifice an animal worthy of the god. But no matter how hard he searched among his flocks, he could not find such an animal.
The appearance of the bull
One day, as he was walking along the beach, he saw a bull coming out of the sea. Tall, strong, full of grace and beauty. "This is the animal I want," said Minos. But then he regretted it. The bull was so beautiful that he kept it for himself and sacrificed another.
The bull goes wild
But now God was angry, because he had sent the bull. So he made the bull so angry that he went around the plains like a madman and made terrible disasters.
After an arduous journey, Hercules arrived in Crete and learned from Minos where a wild bull was. So he went and found him lying in the meadow.
The bull in Mycenae
She slowly approached him, humming and grabbing him by the horns. The bull went wild, jerked to get away, and Hercules held him fast. So he brought him to Mycenae and presented him to Eurystheus. But as soon as he saw him, the king was so frightened that he ordered him to let him go free in the woods.
The bull in Attica
But here again, the bull started the destruction. Until one day he crossed the Isthmus and came to Marathon in Attica, where he continued his destruction. But what happened to this bull? We'll see when we talk about Theseus.
